Symptomatic relief of cough.

Tablets: (Adults) 1 tablet every 4 to 6 hours as needed; max 6 tablets in 24 hours. (Children 6 to 12 years) 1/2 tablet every 4 to 6 hours as needed; max 3 tablets in 24 hours. Syrup: (Adults) 1 teaspoon every 4 to 6 hours as needed; max 6 teaspoon in 24 hours. (Children 6 to 12 years) 1/2 of adult dose before or after meals.

potential benefit from using the drug in pregnant women, regardless of trimester.
