Exercise:
Exercise helps keep your appetite under control, neutralizes stress, lowers blood cholesterol, promotes digestion, and normalizes blood sugar.

20 minutes per day is minimal. One hour daily is preferable, but on certain days three to five hours may be needed. Do not get sunburned, and do not make your muscles sore with too much exercise. Both of these are unhealthy. Gradually build to a good exercise level without developing sore muscles.

Breathe deeply while exercising and meditate about nature as you work out. Daily outdoor exercise strengthens the liver, kidneys, and lungs.

The habits of shunning the air and avoiding exercise close the pores, the little mouths through which the body breathes, making it impossible to throw off impurities through that channel. The burden of labor is thrown upon the liver, lungs, kidneys, etc., and these internal organs are compelled to do the work of the skin.

The following exercises may be beneficial:

  • Swim.
  • Walk at least 20 minutes and up to eight miles daily.
  • Purposeful labor is beneficial, including gardening, splitting wood, and lawn care.
  • Jog on padded surfaces as appropriate.
  • Cycle stationary or three-wheeled, etc.
  • Massage is also a form of passive exercise.
  • Aerobics
  • Stretching exercises

    Hydration:

Water cleanses the tissues. Drink water freely as it helps to supply the necessities of the system and helps the body resist disease. Pure water to drink and fresh air to breathe invigorate the vital organs and purify the blood. Drink water until urine is pale.

  • Drink six to ten cups of water, as pure as possible, each day. But do not drink water during meals.
  • Drink four cups of pau d'arco tea daily. This tea is made by boiling three tablespoons of the tea in four cups of water for 15 minutes and steeped for 15 minutes more.
  • Drink two to four cups of chaparral tea daily. This tea is made by steeping one teaspoon of leaves per cup of preboiled water for 15 minutes.
  • Do not use sweeteners in your teas.
  • Drink plenty of blue violet and red clover tea following the same directions for chaparral tea.
  • These teas may be considered part of the daily intake of water.

    Lifestyle:

    1. A daily bath is essential. Personal hygiene is a must. Wear a clean change of clothes daily.
    2. Clean and neat living conditions and fastidious kitchen facilities are important.
    3. Carry out three to five hyperthermia treatments per week (see description below), depending on the strength of the patient. Do not exceed more than one hyperthermia treatment per day. The overall total of hyperthermia treatments should range from 15 to 20.
    4. Maintain good posture.
    5. Spend more time out-of-doors.
    6. Reinstate regularity, routine, order and predictability of daily activities. Rise and retire at set times. Simplicity and quietness of living is the goal.
    7. Stop overworking. Readjust stressful jobs, and whittle various involvements out of your life.
    8. If you are not sleeping at night, do not nap during the afternoon. A nap before lunch can be taken instead. Do not sleep late in the morning and skip breakfast.
    9. Do not to sleep where there is a draft.
