Description
Fetal evaluations before delivery are performed on pregnant women who are considered to be high-risk. High-risk pregnancies can bring about uteroplacental failure, which can cause delayed fetal growth, fetal hypoxia, fetal acidosis, and fetal death. Diseases that can be detected with a fetal evaluation include:
1. Hypertensive diseases of the mother
2. Maternal diabetes
3. Pregnant with postmature infant
4. Collagen - vascular diseases,
5. Delay of fetal growth, hypoamnion
6. Isoimmunization pregnancy
Fetal evaluations usually begin between the 32nd week and 34th week, and the interval between tests is a week. With severe diseases and conditions, the interval between tests is shorter.
