Medical Examination in single Women
Medical Examination In Single Women

more about Medical Examination In Single Women

Description

Whether single and considering marriage, involved in a relationship, or virgin, the health-minded woman of today will want to take a number of precautions to insure her child-bearing options for the future.

Hymen Examination

The hymen is like an elastic wrinkle in the mucous membrane that is located at the vaginal entrance. Because the thickness, shape, and elasticity of the hymen differ from person to person, light exercise, or even everyday chores, may cause it to rupture, or it may remain undamaged despite repeated intercourse. The presence of the hymen, and whether it is ruptured or not can be determined with the naked eye, making the test procedure to ascertain intactness relatively simple.

Vagina Examination

It is a good idea to receive a vaginal examination before marriage to detect any abnormalities that might interfere with intercourse or pregnancy, such as the Rokitansky-Kuster-Hauser syndrome, a congenital reproductive organ disease in which there is no vagina, or the vagina is a vestigial organ and the ovaries are normal but the uterus is absent. Because women with this syndrome do not menstruate, they may discover that they have this condition during puberty. Women with this condition must undergo surgery to create a vagina.

Menstrual Irregularities

Tests can detect if ovulation is occurring when a woman's menstruation is irregular. Luteinizing hormone and follicle stimulating hormone are important reproductive hormones. When menstruation is irregular, only follicular hormone is secreted, and too much follicular hormone can lead to infertility or cancer.

Pelvis Examination

This examination checks for any abnormalities inside the pelvis. An ultrasound examines the ovaries, uterus, and fallopian tubes, and an abdominal ultrasound is performed if the woman has not had intercourse.

Blood Test

Generally, anemia, blood type, hepatitis, liver function, urine, and rubella tests are conducted during a medical checkup.
