Question
What options are there for the treatment of REM sleep disorders? And how
do they stack up in terms of effectiveness and cost?

eCureMe’s Advice 1
I suggest you investigate commercial products such as E-Nur-Tone,
which essentially provides biofeedback during sleep (it’s cheapest and
fastest solution for some). Then, consult a psychologist or psychiatrist or
specializes in sleep disorders. Medications or psychotherapy may be suggested
depending on their evaluation. All these methods work but one size does not
fit all. Good luck!

eCureMe’s Advice 2
Clonazepam and GABA are two medications with good track records. Many
University hospital teaching centers have sleep disorder clinics, and treatment
there may be covered by insurance, with proper referrals.

eCureMe’s Advice 3
Clonazepam is a very effective benzodiazepine compound which can be found in
generic form for less than a dollar a pill.
