CHROMIUM

THE BREAKDOWN
Breaks down sugar and fat in the body. Chromium is part of the chemical compound GTF (Glucose Tolerance Factor), which regulates how much fat is stored in your body.

IN THE BODY
It is very difficult for the body to absorb Chromium.

WITHDRAWALS
There is a chance that lack of Chromium in the body can cause diabetes or even heart disease. Also, without Chromium in the body, the fat and blood pressure levels can increase, leading to serious problems because the glucose level in the body might be too high.

NATURAL FORMS
Natural forms of Chromium can be found in cereals whole grain, liver, eggs and chicken.

DAILY DOSE
50 to 200 mg of Chromium a day is safe for the body to consume.

OVER DOSAGE
There are no known side effects or reverse effects of taking too much Chromium.

FIGHTING AGENTS
Taking an antacid may decrease the amount of Chromium that is absorbed by the body.

SUPPLEMENTS
Although it is most popular these days as a weight loss measure, Chromium supplements can be used to prevent acne, high cholesterol, hypoglycemia, heart disease and diabetes.

WARNINGS
If you are a diabetic, taking Chromium may decrease your body’s need to take insulin.
